Happy World Cat Day!

Hello readers, I welcome you back to Teenage Fanatic! No, your eyes are not deceiving you, there is indeed a World Cat Day (which just so happens to be today, August 8th!). Given that one of the most googled phrases on the internet is 'funny cat videos', it's not exactly a surprise that this event has come to be. Hey, I'm all for a bit of feline appreciation, hence my post dedicated to this annual growl-filled event. It's quite a momentous occasion, so I've decided to truly honour it by listing what, in my opinion, are 8 of the most funny cat videos ever to grace the internet. I know, it's a big call, but I guess you'll just have to stay tuned . . .

1. Surprised Kitten

I think along with the evil and mischievous cat internet figures we have grown to know and love, we can also appreciate the cuteness factor of awesome kittens (before they acquire a taste for malevolence). Low and behold, a video demonstrating exactly that.

2. Talking Cat

I don't know about you, but I have always wanted to be privy to an animal that can talk. Seriously, it just seems like the coolest thing ever. And if that animal just happens to be of the feline variety? Well that's even better. 

3. Jumping Cat

This is a truly epic video. Not only do you get to see a suspicious cat hanging around and peeking over a fence, but you get to see it almost star jump off what looks to be a balcony (although I really hope it's not). What makes it even better is the fact that it's perfectly timed to music! Let's hope no cats were harmed in the making of this video. 

4. Cat Using a Fork and Chopsticks

A feline using the eating utensils of a human? I'm already sold. However, the owner of this cat looks to be the creepiest thing alive. I think people should be getting PETA or RSPCA onto her sometime soon. 

5. Cat Shower

I think it's pretty much common knowledge that cats and water really don't mix. Seriously, it must be some kind of aversion or phobia imprinted in their DNA. Well, at least that's what I thought until I saw this video. I think we've found our feline exception. 

6. Stalking Cat

Remember when you thought you only had to look for predators hanging around dodgy looking parks or prowling around on social media? Well, I'm sorry, but those days are over. We've got a new stalker in town, and it's got whiskers and a fur coat. 

7. The Noisy Drinker

You know how there are some people who just can't seem to keep their slurping to themselves? Well it seems this trait extends to the feline world. Seriously, once you get a load of this cat, you'll want to teach it some table manners (or at least click replay). 

8. Boxing Cat

Silly humans, thinking that boxing was a sport purely for us. It seems that the cat world is now getting in on it. Who knows, maybe we'll have a Muhammad Grow-li on our hands (get it? damn that was a solid pun).
