NIDA Work Experience
Hello once again members of the blogosphere! You may have noticed that in the past week I haven't been particularly active in my blogging endeavours. Why would this be? Believe it or not, it is not due to the fact that I'm just ridiculously slack, but rather because I was lucky enough to complete my work experience at NIDA in the past week. As you can probably imagine it would be, it was absolutely amazing. Seriously, it was super awesome! You've probably gathered by now that, in the words of Mr G, singing and dancing and acting is my life. So of course, this was just a week of me living out my little, nerdy, musical theatre dreams. And no, I'm not doing this blog post to be annoyingly braggy (trust me, I'd be way more obvious about it), but just so you can get a sense of the awesomeness this institute provides (and okay, maybe I'm bragging just a little).
Just letting you know, I have absolutely no idea if this applies to any of you. If you're interested in the performing arts and are looking for somewhere to complete your work experience, you couldn't have found a better place my friend. If you're like everyone else and have just hopped onto a random web page, feel free to just stick around and wait out the weirdness.
First things first, I thought I'd give you a proper feel for the kinds of activities you get to do in the work experience program at NIDA, and what better way to do that then show you my timetable? To avoid violating any copyright and getting sued (I don't even know if that's possible, but better safe than sorry), I'm not posting the actual timetable (no, that would be too easy). Instead, what I've done is pretty much make an exact replica, only stating the classes I went to, and of course, I did it in the signature 'Teenage Fanatic' colours (because there's never a bad time for self promotion).
Of course, this isn't the stock timetable for all work experience students, this was just the one I got for my specific week, but you have to admit, it does look amazingly awesome. A tad confused as to what it all means? Don't worry, so was I until I actually got to sit in on the classes.
So basically, at the beginning of the week during the little introduction session you are given a timetable (like the one above, except with rooms, teachers and less ridiculous colour), and are partnered up with your work experience buddy for the week. Then, you get to go and sit in on classes with a bunch of people who are in their first year of full-time training at NIDA. Sounds a little intimidating? To be honest, at first it definitely is. But everyone's just so nice and welcoming that after about one class, you become swept up by your inner theatre nerd and become one of the pack.
I'll just quickly take you through a run down of what happens in the classes, considering I haven't exactly been the best at explaining it all up until now. Like your average university, NIDA do indeed have lectures. I know right! Pretty awesome. I wasn't sure, considering it was all elite and performing artsy (and yes, that's the accurate term). Considering that was my first time being exposed to the extensive uni style lectures, I found it all pretty interesting. We got to take a closer look at some Shakespeare plays like 'King Henry IV' and 'The Tempest' and focus in on their dramatic elements, plus I wasn't bored to death like I normally would've been if it hadn't been done so well, so it's a win-win situation.
Some of the movement and technique classes were pretty much as you'd imagine, focussing on different intricate stretches and overall alignment of the body. Because I'm always up at the dance studio, luckily I was pretty in my element watching those classes (it would've been awkward if I just had to watch people rolling around on the floor while I had no idea what they were doing).
I have to say, the class that I surprisingly really enjoyed watching was clowning. I know right, who would've thought? Even taking into account that my mother has an exceptional fear of all things clown related, I found the classes super interesting to sit in on. Luckily, there wasn't any weird, OTT, everyday 'red wig, big shoes' clown action going on, but rather the more sensitive, subtle clowning that draws heavily from theatre (which makes sense considering it's NIDA and all).
Even though all the classes were amazing, my absolute favourite class that I got to do while I was there was the screen work. Believe it or not, NIDA has a full-on professional film studio on campus. How fantabulously awesome is that? Legitimately, it's one of the coolest things ever. I was lucky enough to come on one of the best weeks, as I was able to watch some of the first years shoot short films. Coincidentally, we also happen to be doing the same (on an obviously much smaller scale) at school. The parallels are just ridiculous!
I've never been on a film set before (or anything like it really), and I just found everything so interesting. Plus, I have some exciting news for you. I got to use the clapper and everything! And there's photographic evidence (just excuse the face)!
Wouldn't it just be so awesome if life could be like that?
The entire week was as you'd imagine - incredibly, amazingly awesome! It was literally one of the best, most beneficial experiences ever. If I haven't sold you, I honestly don't know what will! Now comes the hard part, getting into the actual post school, full-time course . . .
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my little random recount of my NIDA experience! Unfortunately you've just missed open day, but have no fear, productions are near! I sat in on some of the rehearsals for Kandahar Gate, and it looks absolutely amazing! You have to go see it! But besides that, just go and feel free to join society once more and wave goodbye to the blogosphere. Til' next time . . .

Highlights of Eurovision 2014
Hello again readers! Today, I have a super exciting, albeit delayed blog post for you. Can you name the wackiest, awesomest contest in the history of the universe? Spoiler alert, it's Eurovision, and it's spectacularly amazing. I've been watching consistently since 2007 and have been blindly supporting the United Kingdom since then, partially due to the fact that the rest of Europe hates them, but mostly because of this awesomely tacky performance that left a major impression on me. I mean seriously, who doesn't love Eurovision? It's where the insane and the amazeballs can interweave together seamlessly, how good does that sound? Obviously, as you've probably already gathered, we treat as a big event in our household, however for those of you who missed or are just in desperate need of some recapping, be sure to stay tuned for my top 3 performances of the night. Procrastination complete, here are my highlights . . .
1. Rise Like a Phoenix
You have to admit, Conchita Wurst rocked that stage, and was a deserving (spoiler alert) winner of the contest. A bearded lady, come on, that's basically one massive symbol of the crazy epicness that is Eurovision. And I've got to say, that girl can sing. By the end of the number, I was totally into it. Plus, she just happens to be one big metaphor for what the contest celebrates - diversity (and weirdness). I'm officially loving her work. This drag queen just took it to a whole other level, I'm seriously impressed. Go Austria!
2. Moustache
I was actually ridiculously excited by this number. Come on, how could you not love a song entirely about moustaches? And this is coming from someone who is totally against the hipster, moustache craze currently flooding the teen world. I'm actually serious, I am so depressed that France came last! Their wacky little number was so deserving of at least second place (well at least that's what me and my warped taste think). Especially considering there was ongoing facial hair theme this year at Eurovision, France definitely should've done well. I guess there's always next year.
3. Cheesecake
Oh Belarus, how you overwhelm me with your awesome, food themed songs. Let's get real, who doesn't love cheesecake (besides people who are lactose intolerant?). So of course, this was a perfect choice of song for Eurovision. Where else can you enter a singing competition televised internationally with a song about a popular dessert? I was particularly fond of the line 'But i'm not Patrick Swayze, you're not Jennifer Grey'. Don't we all love a good 'Dirty Dancing' reference? However, unfortunately, it seems the voters put Belarus in a corner, as they didn't make it into the top 3.
So that's the end of my ridiculously tiny Eurovision post. I didn't know what to do exactly to celebrate the extreme awesomeness of the competition, but I knew I just had to do something. That's all folks. Til' next time . . .

Happy Mother's Day!
Greetings blogosphere, Happy Mother's Day everyone! I hope you're all having an awesome day so far, and that everyone's being relatively nice to their mothers (it is their day after all). Not yet sure how to celebrate it? Well you've come to the right place. What better way to spend the day that glorifies mothers than reading all about some of the coolest TV mums of all time? I know, there's no need to thank me, I know I'm awesome. And where did I get this wonderful idea? From my very own mother. Without further introduction, here's my list . . .
Marge Simpson - 'The Simpsons'
There's no doubt about it, Marge is certainly one cool mum. Once you get past the awful, annoyingly grating voice, her greatness becomes pretty evident. Let's take a look at why, shall we? For one, she's ridiculously patient. If I had to deal with a lazy, stupid and unhelpful husband, not to mention a bunch of tiresome children, I would most certainly not maintain my composure (in fact quite the opposite really). Purely for that, she deserves a mother of the year award. But that's not all, the awesomeness doesn't end there. Marge is probably also one of the most forgiving people ever. Considering that in the 550 episodes that have aired, Bart has been seen in detention during the title sequence for different reasons in every single one of them, she is definitely one of the most forgiving people on the planet. Not to mention, in the 20 years the show has been on, she literally hasn't aged a day, now that's a talent.
Temperance Brennan - 'Bones'
I have to admit, she isn't the most obvious pick. However, you've got to hand it to her, recently, Temperance has been a pretty kick-ass mother. For someone who originally firmly stated they didn't want to have kids, she sure did have a change of heart. Now, she's softened completely, and has become all super protective and caring, which is nice to see. Plus, when Temperance went back to work, we got to see her struggle with balancing motherhood and a career. I know right, how weird? Television actually almost being like reality, since when does that happen? It's a rarity, but that is just one of the many reasons Temperance has made it on the list. Also, just imagine the awesome forensic anthropology stories little Christine will be able to tell, she'll probably be one of those creepy super geniuses in no time (not that I'm jealous or anything).
Carol Brady - 'The Brady Bunch'
There's no doubting this one, Carol Brady is certainly a legendary mother. I mean, she's a lovely lady who brought up three very lovely girls, what more could you ask for? Plus, when she married a man named Brady, there were no complaints from her about having to be a mother to 3 extra kids, oh no, she took it in her stride (perhaps that was because their maid Alice pretty much did everything for her, but whatever). The Brady household got pretty hectic sometimes, balls being thrown inside and school projects going awry, but did Carol ever give up? No, she most certainly did not. She was always there for moral support with a mood-brightening nugget of wisdom. Being the head of a hectic, often angsty household is no walk in the park, and Carol managed to do so with an effervescent demeanour. Plus, she impressively managed to get through 5 seasons of the show with sturdy, unfaltering hair.
Claire Dunphy - 'Modern Family'
Although often strung out and stressed to the max, Claire really is the ultimate mum on-the-go. I mean sure, she's just a tad overbearing and a major perfectionist, but aren't all mothers? That's really what makes her realistic, the fact that she actually is effected by the craziness of her family. I have to say, those Dunphy kids are quite a handful. You've got Haley who's always off gallivanting, Alex who kind of not-so-secretly looks down on everyone in the family, and Luke, well, he's just Luke. Plus, most of the time she has to parent Phil as well, no wonder she's always ridiculously on edge! But you know, deep down she loves them and cares for them and all that other motherly stuff, but what really sets her apart is the fact that she's completely relatable. Frazzled, exhausted - that pretty much sums up how most mothers feel on a daily basis.
Lynette Scavo - 'Desperate Housewives'
In the hectic street that is Wisteria Lane, you'd think there'd be no decent parenting in sight. However, Lynette Scavo seems to be the exception to the rule. When you think about it, she's had to raise 6 children over the years, plus deal with a whole bunch of other drama that it's pretty safe to say most mothers don't. Often, your son's best friend won't turn out to be a mass murderer, but did that happen to Lynette? Yes, it most certainly did. Plus, you have to admit, she is probably the most down to Earth, relatable mother on the lane. I mean you've got Gabby, the former fashion model, Susan, the clumsy frazzled mother of 2 and Bree, who's constantly demanding and icy. Sure, Lynette may not be your favourite housewife (my favourite's Gabby, and I'm sticking by that), but there's no doubting that she's the most realistic.
Joyce Summers - 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'
The last mother on my list is Joyce, a truly awesome mother in my opinion. I can imagine that being the mother to a vampire slayer wouldn't be an easy task, yet she handles it admirably. Back in the earlier seasons, she was just awesome for being the naive mum with good intentions, yet as she learnt the truth about Buffy, she began to gradually increase in her level of awesomeness. Sure, at first she was a bit dubious, I mean who would want their kid to be out staking vampires at night? But she became supportive and accepting, and that is why she's on my list. Joyce was actually adored by millions of viewers, I mean come on, a vampire and a demon were among the many who mourned her death after 'The Body' (the episode which fans are still horrified by to this day). That's quite an achievement!
So that officially marks the end of my 2014 Mother's Day post! I hope everyone's had an awesome day so far, and that this list only added to that (because let's face it, television is awesome). Now go be nice to your mother! Til' next time . . .

Most Outrageously Awesome Disney Conspiracy Theories
Greetings again my avid readers! Today, be prepared for me to crush all of your childhood dreams. Isn't that always fun? Similarly with my post about the lies Disney has taught us, your innocence regarding kids movies will once again be ripped apart. If you're one of those naive people who automatically assume everything vaguely Disney related is purely as it seems, I'm afraid you're in for the shock of your life. Believe it or not, some hardcore Disney fans have actually created totally plausible, super outrageous conspiracy theories regarding some of your beloved childhood movies. So without further ado, here they are . . .
'Frozen', 'Tangled' and 'The Little Mermaid' are all apart of the same Fictional Universe
How is this plausible you may be asking yourselves? At first, even I have to admit this all seems a bit cray, but after you look into it a bit further, everything gradually becomes clearer. First of all, why don't we whip out our geographical skills of deduction and see if this is at all vaguely possible. When you think about it, the characters in 'Frozen' and Tangled' indeed would be living rather close to one another. Supposedly, 'Tangled' takes place in Germany (as that is the origin of the original tale of 'Rapunzel'), and I'm guessing 'Frozen' is set in Norway, if some of the accents are any indication (also the fact that the original story 'The Snow Queen' was set there probably has something to do with it too). So yeah, it's possible that they knew each other, but why? Why would fans make up a conspiracy this huge based on relatively close geographical proximity? The answer is they didn't, because the plot thickens.
Probably the biggest giveaway of this little trio of crossovers is the fact that the protagonists of 'Tangled', Rapunzel and Eugene/Flynn, were actually seen attending Elsa's coronation towards the beginning of 'Frozen' (way to be discreet Disney).
But why? Why would they go if they weren't even residents of Arendelle? Well my friends, this is where it gets interesting. The theory is that Elsa and Anna's parents (from 'Frozen') were on their way to Rapunzel's wedding when their boat crashed and sunk. And where did it sink? Why that would be in Denmark, where 'The Little Mermaid' just happens to be set.
If your minds aren't completely and utterly blown yet, just see the wreckage of the ship from the actual 1989 'Little Mermaid' movie.
I'm officially on board, no pun intended (kidding, of course it was).
Boo is the witch in 'Brave'
I think we're all familiar with Boo, the adorable little girl we know and love from Monsters Inc.
Believe it or not, one of the theories that has been floating around for a while is that this bundle of cuteness became the witch from 'Brave'. Why would anyone come up with such a strange theory you ask? Yes, you guessed it, there's a long winded explanation for this one too.
Looking at the two of them, there aren't any overwhelming similarities that stick out, so obviously physical features aren't what is fuelling this theory. Okay, let's start at the beginning. As a part of the grand unification Pixar theory, it was established that the movie 'Brave' is the beginning and end of the Pixar timeline. Let me try and explain and aid your totally confused, messed up minds. Merida, the protagonist of 'Brave', discovered magic (called the will-of-the-wisps), which is seen being used by the witch as she disappears through a doorway.
Hmm, magical doorways, that sounds awfully familiar. According to the theory, this magic unlocked the ability for animals and inanimate objects to have human characteristics, creating one big explosion of personification which pretty much explains all of the Pixar movies (Finding Nemo, Up, Monsters Inc, all that jazz). We are then taken to Monsters Inc. By the time that comes around, all that is left in the world is monsters and machines, which becomes a major problem when they come to the realisation that they need humans as their source of energy (which would make sense if you've seen the movie, and if you haven't, why are you even reading this?). So then, Mike and Sulley decide to use the doors to travel back in time and accidentally find Boo, which is when everything becomes pretty canon (for a while). After their little adventure, Boo gets hung up on her monster pal Sulley, and is determined to find him again. How does she go about doing this? By harnessing her ability to travel through doorways (that she handily learnt from her monster biffles) later in life. To do this, she once again has to access the power source (the will-of-the-wisp) as seen in 'Brave', which also happens to explain why the witch has a carving of Sulley.
If you aren't totally sold yet, stick around, there's more. As the witch travels through time, she drops little clues (whether or not this is deliberate is up to you) known among fandoms as 'Easter Eggs'. Never seen any? Prepare to be blown away.
I know right! Who knew? After all that, it kind of explains why the door in 'Brave' is magic as well- because it's all a Monsters Inc connection! Seriously, people much have so much time on their hands. I love it!
Andy's Mum was the original owner of Jessie
I'm actually totally on board here with this one, the plausibility is just ridiculous.
You see that hat Andy's wearing there? That just so happens to be what started this entire theory. I know what you're thinking, how could a hat be so vital in some sort of crazy conspiracy? Well readers, this is only the beginning. You see, this hat is rather distinctive, with its bold red colour and laced white border. And where have we seen that before? You guessed it, on Jessie.
Coincidence? I think not.
We all know the tragic tale of Jessie's past, how her owner, Emily, stuffed her into a charity box when she got older (leading to Jessie's claustrophobia). But who is Emily? Is she just a random, or is there more to the story? Of course, fans are going with the latter, and theorising that Emily is in fact Andy's mum. But first of all, why don't we see if this is at least at all possible? Based on the scenery shown in the flashback sequences in 'Toy Story 2', we are assuming that Emily grew up around the 50's and 60's.
Considering the first movie came out in 1995 when Andy was 6, Andy would've been born in 1989. If the mother was indeed Emily, that would've made her either in her 20's or 30's when she had him, which I have to admit, does indeed add up. Plus, the mother's name is never actually specified throughout the trilogy of movies, she is only ever referred to as 'Ms. Davis'. However, just because she could've been Emily, doesn't mean she was. But wait, there's more. You know that hat that I was talking about before? The hat seen worn by Jessie and Andy? It seems it was also seen lying on Emily's bed in the flashback sequence.
You really can't mess with that evidence now can you. Still not convinced? Why not take a closer look at both hats. I'm serious, they're exactly the same.
I know right, it's getting cray. So obviously, no doubt about it, Emily is indeed Andy's mum. I really see no evidence to the contrary. What must've happened is that the mum (Emily) got Jessie and the hat as some sort of two for one deal, gave away Jessie but passed the hat on to Andy, and by some strange coincidence, Jessie happened to end up with her son. How? I guess it's just fate.
'Aladdin' is set in the Future
No, I haven't lost it completely (yet). Yes, it is indeed a theory that 'Aladdin' is set in the future. How? It's actually quite simple (in a complicated kinda way). It all starts with the genie.
In the story, it's known that he's been stuck inside his lamp for over 10,000 years. This all seems legit, until he offhandedly states that Aladdin's clothes are looking 'so third century'. Considering the movie came out in 1992, there's actually no way the genie would be that up on third century fashion, as he still would've been firmly lodged inside that lamp. So yeah, I know that you're thinking one slip up doesn't warrant an entire conspiracy theory, but wait, the anachronisms don't stop there.
The genie also slipped up a couple of other times, doing impressions of 20th Century popular culture icons such as Jack Nicholson and Groucho Marx. For someone who's been locked up for ages, he sure has caught up with the times.
Based on all this, it seems that the only possible explanation is that Aladdin is set in the future, in at least 10,300 AD. According to some Disney tumblr addicts, it is set in a 'post-apocalyptic world' in which only Arabic and select Greek cultures have survived, where the name 'Arabia' has morphed over the years into 'Agrabah'. I have to say, it sounds pretty convincing. Plus, it means that we can just blame the fact that everyone is able to fly around on magic carpets on futuristic technology.
Mother Gothel and the Evil Queen are the same person
Once again, it seems that fans are concocting conspiracies regarding the identity of two characters. This time, the spotlight falls on Mother Gothel from 'Tangled' and famous antagonist, the Evil Queen, from the Disney classic 'Snow White'.
I have to admit, when you think about it, it does make a lot of sense. It was pointed out recently that there are an awful lot of similarities between the dagger and knife found in Mother Gothel's drawer in 'Tangled', and the Evil Queen's box and dagger she is seen passing on to the huntsman. Sure, this could purely be a coincidence, but where's the fun in that? In the picture above, there aren't all that many overwhelming physical similarities, but personality wise? They never end.
Let's weigh up the facts, shall we? The Evil Queen is totally hung up on her beauty, and Gothel throughout 'Tangled' is fixated upon maintaining her youth. If both of those things don't scream narcissistic villain, then I don't know what does. Plus, you've got to admit, when Mother Gothel returns to her old age, she does look an awful lot like the old crone in Snow White.
I'm officially sold.
So that's the end of my list of Disney conspiracy theories. I'm afraid I can't take credit for any of these, because I came up with literally none of them, but they are pretty awesome. Hopefully I haven't ruined Disney for you or transformed you into some kind of skeptic. Anyhow, I urge you to get back to your lives and stop reading about insane conspiracies, it's probably not healthy. Til ' next time . . .

Fashion Round-Up: 2014 Met Gala
Hello again blogosphere! Today's a very exciting day in the world of fashion, as it marks the annual Met Gala of 2014. Are you totally fashion inclined and currently geeking out all over the place? Awesomeness! Are you not vaguely interested in anything fashion related whatsoever? Also cool. Just stick around to see who I've put on my best and worst dressed list, and then you can get on with your lives. Awkward intro down, let's get into it . . .
Best and Worst Dressed
Best Dressed
Kendall Jenner
It kind of pains me to do it, but unfortunately, this time, I was forced to put someone related to the Kardashians on my best dressed list. I know, I'm sorry. But you have to admit, she did look pretty awesome. She went simple, and it worked. For an 18 year old, she certainly knows how to work a red carpet (shame she's not a real celebrity). And for fashion's night of nights, you have to give it to her that she dressed to impress. Bravo Kendall!
Blake Lively
I think we all knew that Serena Van Der Woodsen was no stranger to awesome fashion moments, but it's nice to know that this also applies to her portrayer Blake Lively. Today, Blake and her little known, totally obscure husband Ryan Reynolds were officially deemed the best fashion power couple at the event, which you have to admit is quite an achievement considering Beyonce and Jay Z were also in attendance. Plus, her outfit was really awesome. Not everyone can manage to rock a cape, but there's no doubt she pulled it off no questions asked. It's pretty, it's classy, and everything just works together really nicely. A definite win for the Gossip Girl alumni!
Lea Michele
Lea Michele
Okay, this may be just a tad biased, but you know what, I don't even care. I personally think Lea Michele looked super duper awesome today. Seriously, I'm loving the gold! There's nothing better than rocking a red carpet while looking like an Oscar (perhaps a premonition of awards to come?). Lea legit looks great all the time, so it's really no surprise that she managed to pull off an awesome look at the biggest fashion event of the year. Ah, I'm so proud!
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez I have to admit looked really awesome today. Red really suits her, and the style of the dress is really flattering. It was simple, elegant and ridiculously stylish, that's a winner combination in my books. Luckily, the red of the dress didn't mimic, nor did it clash with the colour of the red carpet, because that would be one major awkward turtle moment. Plus, she's one of the few ex Disney stars who's managed to maintain some semblance of sanity, and for that, I applaud her. Yay for normality!
Emma Stone
Emma Stone
I have to say, I think this is one of if not my absolute favourite ensemble of the event. Sure, it's simple, but it just works! I've never really thought of Emma Stone as a fashion icon before (more like just an excellent lip syncer), but now, I think I just might. I like how she shook things up a bit and opted for a top and skirt rather than your classic dress, and she managed to pull it off in a way that didn't look vaguely tacky. Also, wearing head to toe pink is just too ridiculously awesome to ignore. Plus, Emma Stone is just an epic person, so that helps.
Worst Dressed
Katie Holmes
Everyone avert your eyes, because this is just too hideous to lay your eyes upon. What was Katie thinking, honestly? Who goes to the biggest fashion event of the year dressed as a lemon meringue pie? It's just plain awful. And why so much puff? That was never going to be palatable. It just looks ridiculous and stupid, not to mention outrageously ugly. Definitely not even close to a winner.
Kristen Stewart
Kristin Stewart literally has the worst taste ever. Although you have to admit, it's pretty impressive that she's been seen in two monstrosities in the past 10 years- the first being 'Twilight', and the second being this. I actually don't even get where this was supposed to be going. She's got some kind of awful animal print on the top, what looks to be ostrich feathers on the bottom, and then some weird chiffon thing on top of that. Plus, what kind of hair is that? She just looks stupid and weird, no wonder she was cast in Twilight.
Brie Larson
This is legitimately one of the weirdest, most awful outfits I've ever seen. What kind of C grade celebrity would decide to rock up in an intergalactic jumpsuit. It's abominable! I recently saw Brie in 'The Spectacular Now'- but I can certainly say this outfit isn't spectacular now, nor will it ever be. Why would someone ever decide to dress as some kind of extraterrestrial looking thing? If you were Lady Gaga I could understand and appreciate it, but not if you're some random that hardly anyone's ever heard of. No, just no.
Shailene Woodley
Shailene Woodley
I hate to do this because I quite like Shailene Woodley, but I'm sorry, this outfit just isn't cool at all. It looks a bit like she decided to put on a bit of cloth and roll around in a pile of leaves before rocking up to the Met Gala, which is never a good look. If you were a hippie from the 70's it would be perfect, but not if you're an emerging actress currently starring in two major motion pictures. Sorry Shailene, but I'm not at all for your new 'stumbled out of the wilderness' look.
Sarah Jessica Parker
Sarah Jessica Parker
Oh God, here comes the big disaster. Believe it or not, this outfit was actually put on some people's best dressed list. How? I do not know, nor do I want to. This is a ridiculous get up. What were you thinking SJP? The hair is some sort of creepy weird donut, and the bottom of the dress legitimately looks like an open parachute. I bet if someone threw her off the roof, she would float down slowly. From the front it looks okay I guess, but once you see the back, it just gets cray. There is nothing vaguely pleasant about this, it disturbs me. A definite miss!
So that's the end of my little fashion round-up! I hope you enjoyed it and are as critical as me when it comes to humans. Now feel free to get on with the rest of your lives. Til' next time . . .

Toodles April: Hiya May!
Hello again readers! I know I'm a tad delayed, but guess what?!? Another month has already begun, how crazy is that? How is 2014 going by so quickly? Anyway, there are a lot of exciting things to look forward to this month, like the release of the movie 'Dorothy of Oz' starring Lea Michele (which I've been waiting for since 2011, but whatever) and a bunch of other cool stuff, but before we focus on that, why not take a look back at some of the memorable moments of April.
4. Naya Rivera and Big Sean Split Up
It seems like only a few months ago that I was announcing their engagement (probably because it was). I have to admit, I'm not totally saddened by the news, purely because Big Sean seems kind of awful, but I guess I'm sad for Naya. Apparently, their break up has to do with the fact that she was earning more money than him. Seriously, that's it. I don't even get why that would be a problem, who is that petty? Apparently, Big Sean is. Maybe (hopefully) this actually turned out for the better, because this guy seems like he's a bit of a poobag. Also, what kind of name is 'Big Sean'? It's just stupid.
3. Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea release 'Problem'
This may not seem like that big of a deal, you're probably thinking 'oh wow, some random people released a song, big whoop', and you know what, you're probably right. I'm just excited about it, and let's face it, this month was pretty dead on the drama front, so this definitely deserves a spot in my top 4 moments of the month. It's been pretty big lately, and I have to admit, I myself have downloaded and been found jamming to a copy of their new poppy duet. It's pretty catchy, and has been doing super well on iTunes, so you should go check it out when you get the chance.
2. Emma Stone vs Jimmy Fallon in their Lip-Sync Battle
What is this nonsense I speak of? Why only one of the most popular recent youtube videos. It seems that recently on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon', one of their legendary lip-syncing battles was held, this time a face off between Jimmy and Emma Stone. I just have to tell you now, you need to watch the video. It is absolutely epic! No words sufficiently describe how truly awesome it is. I'll give you a sneaky spoiler alert before you watch it, Emma totally crushes him, no doubt about it.
1. The Royal Tour
As you may or may not be aware, Australia has recently been experiencing some pretty major Royal events. Turns out, Will, Kate and George decided to take a little holiday to the land down under and come see how us Aussies like to throw down. Did they enjoy their time here? I really don't know. Do I really care? Not particularly. However, it's pretty cool that we've got a lot of exposure recently. Have no idea what I'm talking about? All you need to do is ask a few quick questions of Lord Google, and you'll be bombarded with pictures of them at the Easter Show, at the Harbour Bridge and pretty much every other cliche Australian tourist destination. Go Australia!
So that's the end of my ridiculously short, beginning of the month blog post. Now, we're all able to put April behind us and move on with our lives, how exciting?! Til' next time . . .
